Later Organon developed the Deca-Durabolin (Nandrolone Decanoate) that most of us know. Nandrolone is one of the most popular anabolic steroids to increase athletic performance, it is also one of the few that continues to be used in the medical field, and is highly valued for its therapeutic benefits. The main difference between Nandrolone Phenyl Propionate and Deca-Durabolin (Nandrolone Decanoate), is the duration in the system. The phenylpropionate remains in the body for 1 to 2 days, and the decanoate for 7 to 8 days. The less time a substance lasts in the body, the faster it will provide the user with its benefits, however, it must be supplied more often. Nandrolone shares many of the positive effects of testosterone or other anabolic steroids, but differs from the others in the much higher nitrogen retention in the muscles that it is capable of achieving. Muscle tissue is made up of 16% nitrogen, greater nitrogen retention translates to greater anabolism, less retention leaves us in a state of catabolism. This substance also differs from other steroids in its ability to increase the synthesis of collagen in the body, and increases the absorption of minerals in the bones. Side effects Nandrolone is not as androgenic as testosterone (only 37% compared to the latter) which makes it a fairly tolerable steroid for most people. In men, a dose of 100 to 200mg per week is given, this is usually enough to improve athletic performance and obtain its other benefits. For a more drastic increase in anabolism, using 400-600mg per week is common. A therapeutic dose in which women could benefit from this substance without running the risk of virilization would be 50 to 100mg weekly.
