First marketed by the pharmaceutical company Schering in 1934, for medical use in patients with androgen deficiencies, pre-adolescents, and men with fertility problems. Proviron is somewhat similar to masteron (drostanolone), winstrol (stanozolol), or oxandrolone, all of which are derivatives of dihydrotestosterone. One of its benefits for the bodybuilder is its high affinity with androgen receptors, which will result in an appearance free of fluid retention, and will have a direct positive impact on the individual's metabolism and lipolysis.
